Overview

The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (Urdu: غلام اسحاق خان انسٹیٹیوٹ; commonly referred as GIKI), is a private research university in Pakistan. The institute has a 400-acre (1.6 km2) campus. The university is situated beside the river Indus in the mountains of Tarbela in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa near the town of Topi and in proximity to the lakes of Tarbela Dam (world's largest earth-filled dam) and Ghazi. The GIK Institute is the only fully residential campus in Pakistan in which all students, faculty, and staff are located on campus. The Institute is located at a distance of about 100 km from the capital, Islamabad and about 115km from the historical city of Peshawar. Access to the institute is via the M1 motorway


The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIK) is one of the most prestigious engineering institutes of Pakistan.
